Picocom was invited by the O-RAN Alliance to participate in the virtual Open RAN Demonstrations in collaboration with Mobile World Congress Las Vegas 2022, which is taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 28 to 30 September.

This demonstration by Steve Sprange, Picocom Technical Marketing Manager, demonstrates O-RAN split 7.2 architecture interoperability milestone (MS3) with Picocom’s PC802 SoC, boards and PHY software, together with Radisys’ Connect RAN 5G stack software.

It is one of the milestones (MS3) achieved as part of the Picocom PC802 layer 1 and Radisys stack interoperability testing. Key features of the solution include CU DU flexible deployment, Open Fronthaul Interface, open software for the RAN, O-RAN E2E testing and analytics, testing with real UE, troubleshooting interoperability issues and X86 compatibility.
