Byron Bradley, Picocom, Principal Software Engineer presented ‘High Performance Soft Packet Processing’ at the AndesTechnology RISC-V CON virtual event on June 3rd 2021.
Byron describes how Picocom is using a cluster of small Andes N25 cores to process packets on a 25Gbps Ethernet link. High speed, low latency processing of O-RAN packets is performed by software in real-time to allow for a flexible and future proof 5G system.
